The friend I never had,
Was always there for me,
Through the good and bad,
Though no one else could see.

As the years went by,
She began to fade away,
It wouldn’t help to cry,
I knew she couldn’t stay.

We said friends forever,
but I knew it wouldn’t last,
Our friendship we had to sever,
Was over so fast.

I’ll never forget,
The friend I never had,
Memories I won’t regret,
Although they make me sad.

She was always there for me,
Was such a good friend,
I wish I still could see,
But our friendship is at an end.
